Brandi Sapp
Interim Director of Teacher Education Programs

Brandi Sapp provides leadership in educator preparation within the School of Education and across the university. With over 25 years of experience as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and clinical supervisor, she is committed to fostering strong partnerships between university faculty, teacher candidates, and P–12 school communities. Her work centers on preparing highly qualified, reflective educators who are ready to meet the needs of today’s diverse learners.

As Interim Director, Brandi collaborates with program coordinators, department chairs, academic advisors, and school administrators to ensure that licensure and clinical preparation programs are rigorous, relevant, and grounded in evidence-based practices. She supports candidates in making meaningful connections between research, theory, and classroom application to positively impact student learning.

Brandi holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Southern Illinois University (1998), as well as a Master of Education from Indiana Wesleyan University (2009).

Blake Hampleman
Coordinator of the Office of Teacher Education

Blake Hampleman has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale and M.S. in Educational Administration from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale. Mr. Hampleman is a long-time educator in the Southern Illinois region with experience in all levels of the school system. He is committed to working collaboratively with program coordinators, department chairs, academic advisors, college administration, and educator candidates to develop a meaningful connection between theory and current best practices.

Toni Laur
Admissions and Licensure Coordinator

Toni Laur assists program participants as they fulfill licensure and testing requirements, supporting teacher candidates from program acceptance through student teaching.
